  Are you looking for someone to totally mutilate your yard? Then the Best Wood Judge is an excellent choice! Grade ‘D’ results with an ‘A+’ in yard destruction! After 5 weeks of back and forth phone calls, they still refuse to take responsibility for their incredibly poor work and damage to our yard.
  
  The Best Wood Judge was hired to grind 3 stumps and not one was properly done. On top of that, they left deep ruts from the grinder tires and tried to blame it on something else. Luckily, I had pictures from right before they came out and right after. First of all, properly ground stumps should be a few inches below the surrounding yard to allow room to fill with soil and grass-seed. This is done to leave an end result that is flush with the rest of the yard. Not only are giant roots still in the ground (ranging from 5 inches in length to 17 inches), but the stumps were not ground below the yard line. Some areas are a good 5 inches above the surrounding yard. Even if we try to lay seed over the results they left, half of the area would not sprout because there is that much stump left underneath. Grass seed will not root into a stump…I don't even want to think about how mowing it would work, either.
  
  I tried to reason with Tom several times and was only met with shrewd comments including, but not limited to “You know what… I walked around your yard and the entire yard was lumpy”. As if that was an excuse to destroy our yard without having to take responsibility. And no, Tom, our entire yard was not lumpy. There are some few choice lumps after you came through, though! I’ve been patient and offered plenty of time to make amends. This is even after I got a second opinion from a much better run business, Arbor Pro, LLC. They came out the same day I called, imagine that!
  
  Stay far, far away from the Best Wood Judge. A classic example of a poorly run business with sub-par service. I can’t speak for their firewood, but I wouldn’t expect it to be much better.
